Legal Assistance

The Digital Media Law Project operates the Online Media Legal Network (OMLN), a free (pro bono) legal referral service based at Harvard University’s Berkman Center for Internet & Society that supports promising ventures and innovative thinkers in online and digital media by providing access to legal help that would otherwise be unavailable to them.

If you would like to request legal assistance, please go to the OMLN website to download a new client intake form.  Please keep in mind that prospective clients must meet the network's eligibility criteria, which are detailed in the OMLN FAQ. Preference is given to journalism ventures and entities whose work is in the public interest.  Please also note that OMLN lawyers can only help with legal issues involving U.S. law.

For additional information on finding a lawyer, please see the "Finding Legal Help" section of our legal guide.
