How can I find out a party's location if I don't have the relevant court documents? [1]

You may be able to use Google or another Internet search engine to find an organization's website, articles about an organization or person that specify their location, or other sorts of information. If the party is a business, resources such as the SEC's free EDGAR database [2] can be used to find information.
