Thompson v. Shawty The Comedian [1]

Tina Thompson, an exotic dancer who performs under the stage name "Nairobi," filed a lawsuit in Georgia state court against a comedian going by the names "Shawty The Comedian," "Shawty Shawty," and "Shawty Champagne." Thompson claims that Shawty posted a message to his Twitter page [2] falsely claiming that she is a man. According to the complaint [3], which includes claims for libel, false light, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, Shawty's tweet caused Thompson to lose nearly all her clientele and income, and resulted in Thompson receiving threats of bodily harm.
